For the 2013 & 2014 school years, the CSAP (Colorado State Academic Program) testing has changed its name to TCAP or Transitional Colorado Academic Program. The TCAP supports the transition to the Colorado Academic Standards (CAS) during the development of the new assessment, currently scheduled for 2014. TCAP will continue to assess those Model Content Standards that are not in the Colorado Academic Standards, but were deemed necessary in order to preserve the year to year comparability of the TCAP to the CSAP.
All BHS 9th and 10th Grade students will be taking the TCAP on March 5th & 6th, 7th. Any student who misses this regularly scheduled testing time, will be required to attend the make-up session March 10th -14th beginning at 7:20am. The attendance policy will be in effect during TCAP. Please see the testing & school schedule below.
Please note, Per Colorado State Law: [22-7-409(1.2a.1.dI)], every Colorado student enrolled in a public school is required to take either the TCAP or COAlt in the appropriate grade levels and content areas.
Juniors & Seniors: Students in the 11th and 12th grade will NOT be tested on the TCAP and their first class will not start until 12:40pm during the BHS TCAP testing schedule. We ask that 11th & 12th graders do not arrive on campus during the time the 9th & 10th graders are testing.
A letter explaining TCAP as well as a copy of the TCAP schedule was provided to all 9th & 10th grade students in their English Classes. If you did not receive a copy of this letter or would like another one, please CLICK HERE.
There are free tutoring sessions open to any BHS student! Please take advantage of these great opportunities before final exams!
